I don't mention race at Tea Party meetings. Among the mod-prog pious I'm tempted, however, and usually succumb.

Answer me this: would any one outside South Carolina have heard of Greene were he a white man?

oh hell yeah, just look at what he's proposing to do: unite Korea! a wildly popular policy prescription, if you ask me. talk about forward thinking: he's completely thought of something no one else ever bothered to think about. with that level of creativity, he's bound to be a great President.

The (ahem) color photo up top escaped your notice? That served the Gray Lady's basic purposes quite well, along with the reference to soul sensation Al Green. The establishment media's conspiracy narrative ever since has concerned the sinister co-opting of an African-American for anti-prog activities. Has the Right no shame or decency?

According to Wikipedia:

"The day after the primary election, the media reported that Greene was facing felony obscenity charges stemming from a November 2009 arrest for allegedly showing a pornographic picture on an Internet site to an 18-year-old female University of South Carolina student and then allegedly saying to her "Let's go to your room" while in a computer lab."

"FELONY obscenity" for a gauche pick-up ploy?!?!? I knew South Carolina was backward, but jeez....

I support Alvin Greene. His supporters should chant "This is what democracy looks like!". Perhaps after his senate term Lee J. Mercer will choose him as his running-mate.

He's the ideal politician in a way. People are always complaining about special interests & candidates being detached from their concerns, who better for these times than an unemployed guy who seemingly doesn't give a fuck whether he gets elected or not?
